There's a new section of homes being built in our neighborhood, and the construction area is currently the kids' favorite destination when we go for walks (of course, we only go back there when the crews aren't working). They love to look at the (parked) construction equipment. It's become a daily activity.
Another favorite pastime during our walks? Collecting pinecones.
This picture makes my heart happy. That is Camden, reading "Go, Dog, Go" to Macey. Why? Because Macey brought the book to him and said, "Dogs, bro", which is her request to have the book read to her. Camden happily obliged, and read the entire book (or, more accurately, recited it from memory). I love that she asked her big brother to read to her. (And I love that she's apparently vogue-ing while listening to the book.)
More sibling love: teeth brushing time! This is also a new favorite activity in our house. Not that teeth brushing is new, but the step stool is and the brushing together is. Seriously, every night they get excited about brushing their teeth. After they finished tonight, Camden yelled, "Yay! We get to brush our teeth again in the morning!" It's the little things.
I love the way they love each other. They love to play together, act silly together, and just be together.
These faces are my favorite faces in the world.
And you know how I like to include my videos now. I was trying to catch Macey saying "What?" just because Matt and I are so amused that when we call her name, she'll now say, "What?" to us. It just sounds so funny coming from a not-quite-2 year old. I did catch that, but I also caught a pretty darn good sentence: "Mommy, brush your teeth." (And yes- she almost climbed out of her crib during the filming of this video. I have a feeling that'll be happening very soon and I do not look forward to it one bit.)
