This (below) occured while I had my back turned for 2 seconds when I was unloading the dishwasher. I guess he was trying to help?

And the Naked Bandit escaped during a diaper change and proceeded to make a break for the stairs.

In other news, Camden said "da" today. Not "dadada", just simply "da". He said it a few times. I clapped and squealed like a moron each time & he looked at me like what's the big deal, woman? It doesn't take much to make a mom proud. I know it's still not where those annoying books say he should be at 9 months, but whatever. It's a consonant. I'm allowed to be proud.

Love these pictures! And I can't wait to hear him say "Da". So cute!
Keep the camera handy and keep the pictures coming!
Those photos made me laugh out loud! How adorable! And yay for consanents.
The naked picture is perfect! I can't get my little guy to sit still for even the time it takes to get his diaper off these days. Usually he's on his way to the bathroom. He loves the bathtub!
Donna- The having him hold a toy during diaper changes trick worked for a while. Now, not so much. He just can't be bothered with laying still for even a minute. Too much to do! Sounds like your little man is the same way.
Ohhh your 'wild thing' is too cute!!!
Oh my goodness these pictures are so stinkin adorable!!! I love the naked one. Oh, and just so you know, Lexi JUST rolled from back to tummy for the first time at 9 months but has been saying mama for about 4 months now. They are all so different and every milestone is to be celebrated no matter how big or small, or when it happens :) Congrats on the "da"!
What cute pictures! I love the one of Camden in the dishwasher!
And, if he was saying "da", then "dada" is right around the corner. And "mama" won't be far behind!
Oh Kerri, I'm so sorry your pediatrician has worried you so much. I agree with everyone's advice. If you don't feel at ease with her, find another doctor. You should feel very confident and relaxed around doctors, like you can trust them.
Regarding Camden's weight, could it be he's not putting on much because he's so active? From your posts, it seems he's always on the go so perhaps that explains it. It's worth asking the doctor about it. And I also agree with what everyone's been saying about kids developing at different ages. After all, they're not clocks, right? I didn't walk until I was 15 months old and there was nothing wrong with me.
Again, maybe it's time to consider a pediatrician change.
And I'm sorry I wasn't here earlier for support, the little one is keeping me busy.
On to the fun side, your son grows cuter with every picture you post! These last two are off the charts on cuteness! Thanks for sharing :-)
Big hugs!
My brother had a son who was, and is, incredibly active. It took him a LONG time to talk because his physical skills were so superior. His brain just concentrated on the physical before the verbal. Your son will be fine. And he'll talk plenty when he's ready.
