Day one:
I mentioned in my last post that many of the 'worksheets' I'll be using from now on are my own. I got a lot of my worksheet ideas from Google/Pinterest/Measured Mom, but found that creating my own versions was fairly simple. I began by having the boys practice writing big T's and little t's by tracing my outlines.
The Measured Mom likes to use dot stickers and Do-A-Dot pens for filling in small circles. Previously, I had been using dot stickers and her printables. This week, I created my own version and invested in some Do-A-Dot pens (which the boys really loved).
Next, it was time for some math. This truck printable did come from The Measured Mom. I passed out a handful of stones to each boy and then held up cards with a certain number on them. Based on the number card I revealed, the boys filled their trucks with the correct number of "rocks" to take to a construction site.
Craft time! Can I just say how cute I thought this craft was? It really reinforced the letter T by using T shapes throughout the craft. And, of course, the boys love tractors, so that was a bonus.
The final product: Camden's is up top and Will's down below. Please note their adorable little "farmers" driving the tractors.

Day Two:
We began by working on our handwriting with my homemade worksheet.
Back to the right hand again! I even asked him to try switching to his left to see if it felt better. He did for a second, and then switched back, saying his right hand felt better. His hand dominance remains a mystery! But, I'm loving his pencil (or marker) grasp!
For math time on Day Two, I used some Measured Mom printables. The kids had to count the number of objects that appeared on their cards (all transportation related because, you know, T) and then I had them circle the corresponding number at the bottom of their card.
Then I decided to switch things up a little bit and got out a couple of little trucks for them. Instead of circling the correct number, they parked their trucks on the correct number.
Next, we continued with our transportation theme and decided to make a big T out of cars, trucks, trains, planes, and construction equipment. This idea came from The Measured Mom.
They loved making a T out of their bodies and were so excited to see the picture I took.
For craft time, we made a traffic light.
Some pretty cute traffic lights, if I do say so myself.
Because you can never get enough of trucks. If you're a 4-year-old boy, that is.
