Miss Macey Jean

With all of the preschool posting lately, I haven't done much updating on the little girl in my life. And when I say "little girl", I mean that. She is growing up so fast; there's no denying that she's no longer a baby. In just a couple of months, I will have a two year old! I'm truly enjoying every moment of raising this little sweetheart.

Here are a few of my Macey Favorites lately:

• She is completely and totally obsessed with the book "Go, Dog, Go". She will follow Matt and my mom (her favorite readers) around the house with the book in her hand until they give in and read it to her a minimum of 15 times. She actually doesn't let anyone else do much of the reading anymore; she likes to sit in a lap and flip the pages and "read" the book herself.
• She says, "Thank you, Mummy" almost any time I hand her something or help her with something. It's completely precious and I love her manners.
• Whenever she falls down, she will brush herself off and say, "Okay!" She's so tough and so sweet. When Camden falls down (or even if she just sees him laying on the couch or on the floor) she will come over and say "Okay, bro?" I love how much they love each other.
• She is constantly counting "Two, free, four, six," and then ending with a "YAY!" and a round of applause for herself.
• She gives lots of (very rough) kisses. I always joke that Macey gives tough love.
• She pretends to take a nap. She has been known to lay down anywhere (including the play area at McDonald's- yuck) and say "Night, night" and then do some convincing fake snoring. She had a whole crowd of little kids at McDonald's watching her sleep show.
• She is just so incredibly happy. We will go days without seeing Macey cry. She wakes up happy each morning and just lives her life with so much joy. I absolutely adore her.

And just for fun, some videos I made of Macey yesterday while she was hanging out with her Nan. In the first, she is "reading" her favorite book, "Go Dog Go" (her reading is a combination of gibberish and English). In the second video, she's doing some flashcards with Nan.
